I can't really lay claim to being a birder, but I do enjoy having them around the house and trying to figure what they are.

My sister and her husband go on birding camping trips. They live in SE Ohio. My mom was into birding, we always feed birds outside all winter with several feeders. Dad still does, has lots of humming birds.

Last year, camping in this same spot, my son lost a hearing aid. My wife found it a couple weeks ago in our beach bag.

My truck is overdue for an oil change. Didn't have time to get it done before this trip. But less than an hr from home. I dont use my truck much, 2008 with 32k miles.

Yes, the high pressure is right above us. 108 heat index today. But if the high pressure wouldn't have been here, ole hurricane earl might have just meandered up this way. And that much distance across the gulf would have given it time to bloom... So, I don't mind staying indoors from lunch til 8 pm. Another month and a half of high temps.

My mother turned 87 on the 5th. She drove the 2 hour drive north to visit. Her pacemaker is working fine. She gets around very well. Years ago, she had one knee replaced and was planning on doing the other but did not. Now, the artificial knee is giving her problems and she now has to use her 87 year old natural knee to get up and such. She's glad she didn't get it replaced right now.

You can keep that 108 down there. I remember when i used to go to san antonio for work, way too hot for me.
I would like to swing down into tx sometime though, my family has never been there. Maybe on one of our college trips to arkansas.
Got one of those trips coming up soon. Bad timing for me to take off work wise, but not my fault.

Do some more work on the bathroom when the wife and baby aren't asleep in the bedroom connecting to it.

Good thing you put that middle of the month tropical rain in or you would be fired. Since RS got his shop AC I decided to check out my shop's temperature at 7:00PM it was 104˚.
