I don't work on them as much anymore, but I still try to get some seat time. Wife I sneaking off to a hair appt at noon tomorrow. I'll go out on the 55' ford 950 trike and cut a few ac of weeds in the pasture I think.

I put in five hours using the Brush Cutter inside and along a cedar hedge 500 feet long. And I must say, I feel pretty good about the job and myself............will let you all know in the morning. It was a relatively comfortable day in the low 80's, ....that made it go better. Not bad for one of the "older users" going on 84.
Cheers for the 2016 Fourth of July.
Mike

I just got my medacare card too. Now I'm paying more for the supplement than I used to pay for insurance.

I'm paying more for my medicare supplement that my before taxes gross salary used to be.

I just brush hogged for a little over 3 hours with my 1955 ford 950 trike. I'm fairly whooped. ;)

In the Florida heat and humidity, I bet.

Spent the morning replacing inner tie rods and tie rod ends on the backup car, a '92 Taurus XL. It's only got 80k miles on it. Ate lunch then took a nap. Woke up and could hardly move. Along with some arthritis in a few joints, I hurt! I should stop doing that kind of stuff but I'm the maintenance person here on the ranch. Tomorrow, I'll change the oil and filters and tackle the ABS light. (Code 44, 42, 43) Hoping it's just a fuse.

I'm not old, I'm 50!

I don't post as much in the summer, I'm busier. I fixed three different mowers today. After breaking them.

Well, I just got my Medicare Card a few months ago so I'm officially old. :(

So old, I had to have help at Lowe's loading some lumber into the truck.
im just lazy. I let my wife pay for my lumber while i keep shopping so they will load the truck for her. If im there, no one ever helps

Got my Medicare card, 1st SS check, and quit work (retired) 3 months ago. Work 2 weeks around home catching up all things I put off due available time while working then when body starts to shut down fire up the motorhome and hook up the boat for 2 weeks recouping at the lake. Busier now than when working full time but having a lot more fun doing it.

I'm 4 1/2 years into retirement. I don't have time for a full time job. :)

Thanks Oddballs, now I feel younger and hope to make 84.
Every day that you wake up is a great day!

Good to see you old farts having a good time.
Remember if you wake up in the morning & nothing hurts, you might be dead.
I've been told that I'm older than dirt, but plan on another 100 years or so. So far it's working out.

Same at rural king. If I go, and we buy bagged feed.. no one helps load or unload. if just the wife goes up to checkout, she gets loading assistance. :)

All the heat and twice the humidity! :)

I'm with you on that Soundguy. I don't think I could survive without my sunshade anymore. When I was young I could load hay on a wagon behind the baler. Then get up in the barn loft and unload at the end of a hay elevator. It was hot as Hades but I drank lots of water. Now I do everything slower, take breaks, and don't fret if it doesn't get done. Only 56 but a bad hip and knee will do that to you. At 56 I am too old to be productive, too young to get senior citizens discounts, and still have to hit off the white tees. Pretty much useless.

Come on Turbys......Perk up Man..........after all........your town says that you've got "Balls".:)

If it wasn't for coming inside for breaks due to my age, I'd probably never post on TBN............right now I'm hot and sweaty , but heading back outside with the heat going to 96 deg F today.
