Question,
Have any of you shot or loaded fleshets (spelling ?) in a shot gun???

Yes! When you shoot them in a 155mm it becomes the world's biggest shotgun ;)

These are the ones im making now, lrn. 2 cavity mold, lee. Tumble lube design, sized to .358, also 158grn, using Lyman #2 alloy.

Well crud.. Board is deciding not to let me upload pics right now. Its always a 50-50 bet whether I can upload or not.

Here is what it is:

Mold Dc Tl358-158-2r - Lee Precision

I also have a Lee but it's not a tumble lube ... it has a lube grove and I size it in a Lyman 4500 with heater. One day I'm going to spring for a Star.

Well, I did it............joined the NRA..........and I hate to "join" anything. My son was at Cabela's today and saw a very busy ammo counter. He stocked up. Maybe I'll buy another weapon just to keep up with the times.....that Fllintlock and black powder is getting outdated.:D

Good for you.. I have been a "lifer" for a lot of years..

Lately I've been shooting 15+ cylinders thru my black powder revolver, with my buddies all doing the same. Not to mention musket and rifle fire. When we unload at the line it is a wall of smoke!

You using real black powder or pyrodex?, I use the real deal in my Pietta 1858 Remington 44 cal. and the Uberti 1851 Navy 36 cal., after a few cylinders of that, I put the conversion cylinders in and shoot some 45 colt and 38 colt, about 100 rnds. will get my bang bang fix....

Every gun owner should be NRA member, even the Dems. It keeps the liberals from doing what some Dems voters don't believe they want to do.

Liberals will say that NRA is bought and paid for gun manufacuters. They ignore, all the members that send in dues.

I was talking with a Viet Nam vet who chiefed a M109 on one of the firebases over there. One night there was a determined effort by the VC to overrun the place and they went into direct fire with beehive. After everything was over, FDC (Fire Direction Center for those who don't know) called down the line asking how many beehives each gun had expended. When this chief answered up, he told them zero. They then asked why he'd shot all the 30 rounds in his ammo load and he told them that with everything going on, that was all he'd had and he couldn't get any of the other crews to give up any of theirs.

I did get in Firebase Bearcat right after the VC tried to overrun it and the Korean gun crews went gun deck level with Beehive. There base engineers were out with bulldozers shoving the bodies into trenches the day I got there.

We would also shoot HE with min MT (mechanical time fuze) setting. So basically you get air burst just after projo leaves the tube. Poor mans ARPERS-T. Hmm, now that you got me thinking about it, I think 105mm is only thing we shot actual Flechette's out of. I guess that's why use used MT and HE for 155mm.

Funny you should mention FDC. That was my first job (I was FDO - Fire Direction Officer).

I mostly shoot pyrodex, but we did get a few cans of GOEX, and shoot that too.

Some guns I only shoot GOEX in.. like my flinter.
