I was shocked when I was at the Chevy dealers the other day;rows and rows of crew cab,extended cabs ect a couple of 3/4 tons a loaded dually ($61,000) and one two wheel drive ,single cab ,8ft.box,six cylinder and it was still $29,000 window sticker.

Yeah they've priced me out of the market and their incentives are not good at all. Ford seems to be the way I'm going next and I've never owned a Ford in my life. I have found several F-150 xlt FX4's and 4x4 in the 44,000-46000 range that offer lots of bang for the buck the way they're equipped. Plus I can get 8,000 off without working hard, I'm seeing some dealers knocking off 10,000 too. These are 2016's. I'm hearing good things about the 2.7 but may go 5.0, haven't decided yet.

Just did a road trip with my 2014 Silverado,4wd double cab,ARE cap;285 miles up and down the mountains and got 22.4 mpg with the 5.3 V8.Pretty amazing compared to what they used to do.

My son is a test engineer on small block powered GM trucks and SUVs . He loves the 2017 trucks!

Too much grill, bumper/air dam, & hood. And those ridiculous foomanchoo looking wheel wells............
Just like the rest of the big 3. Goofy.

Not too much grill at all. Gotta keep the rad cool. It's a truck,not a trailer queen import.

Has almost as much grill as my 2013 Freightliner semi truck with a 12.7L Detroit 500 hp 1750 lb torque. And it sure isn't a trailer queen. In last few days, a couple of loads that were at around 45,000 with another at 47,000. And the truck full of fuel and trailer weighs in at 32,000 lb. And I can see a lot better what I am doing than I can with the 2500 pickup. Still not convinced they need all that grill and hood height. There is enough room under there to put a good sized inline 6 engine in it. No need for all that front end real estate. Nothing more than trying to make up for a lack of testosterone.

:D. You are probably right. I guess that is how they sell pickups these days.
