Draft / Depth Control on 2012 Mahindra 4025 2WD

I am new to plowing ....and tractors

Hooked up the plow to my 3pt , but I cannot get the plow to break into the ground. I have Position Control on lowest and Draft Control deepest setting. The plow just appears to float on the ground.
Any advice ?

I do not have a picture with me , but can get one later in the week. A description until then:

I have:

1) adjustable lift links on both sides.
2) Stabiliser bars on both sides
3) When I attempt to plow or scrape , the DC level is fully forward (ie Deepest) , the PC lever is fully forward ( is Lowest) and the draft control valve ( under the seat in front of the driver) is fully open and locked. I do not mess with the draft control valve since I understand it is only to be used when transporting the tractor.

The manual says that i need to have the adjustable lift links in the fixed position -- and for the life of me , I cannot figure out what that means.

it just appears that the tractor is not pushing the 3Pt system down far enough and keeping it there ... it appears to float ..

I'll get pictures some time this week ...

Are your Stabilizer bars pinned on both sides? Is the center link adjusted to put the plow at the proper angle to get a bite on the ground"? Is the PC stop nut all the way to the bottom? If it is a single or double bottom plow it should be heavy enough to get a bite on the ground and pull down. If it is a middle buster, I have seen pictures of the sweep being mounted upside down.

3pt or 'Rock Shaft" is usually gravity drop. No down pressure. I'm guessing you don't have your center link adjusted correctly. :confused3:

Thank you -- I cannot recall and will go check. By pinned I assume you mean that it is pinned in a single slot so that it cannot move.

Thanks Jabonee. I'll make sure that the center ( ie top link ?) is adjusted so that the angle of the implement is conducive to ground penetration ... and that the lift links are as extended long as possible.
