Boggles my mind, seeing those tanks! I have never been out west and can't seem to wrap my mind around those water tanks. I know that water is scarce there but still have a hard time believing it! Give perspective for sure; from where I live here in Ga. Water leaking from the ground everywhere.....

It looks as though you will still stay busy even though you are making the transition from a paid job to a life of homesteading as your plans have yet to cease. Thanks for sharing with us your projects as I am sure you will stay busy for years to come.

On the relatively "short" trip from my place in Southeast Texas to my brother's place in San Antonio, the trees and grass go from full, bright green, and dense to scraggly, dull/brown, and sparse. Every year they're always under water rationing conditions and high fire risk .... here, you pop a hole in the ground and have to pump out the standing water.

You caught that, eh?
I thought that once I connected the fill hose it would be too heavy on that joint. I need to come up with a long-term solution, but that tripod was handy.

Good Morning Mr. Fuller Looking at the weather it mentioned Northern Ariz with snow hail and west of Ash Fork toward Seligman there was a vehicle accident rollover where some one stopped to help and were hit by a commercial vehicle.
2 died some injured.
Did you receive much snow this past winter? should be some spring thaw soon .

The house building about completed think a mentioned adding a porch to one side.

Here the gardens are good so far had to mow the yard twice
Bush hogged 30 acres of brush so that the grass could grow for the calves.

We had some snow and hail the last two weekends, but it's 80 degrees today. I think Winter is finally over. I don't know if I'll get to the front porch this Summer or not. Too many other projects; rainwater collection, drip system for fruit trees, convert gas dryer to propane, treat logs on outside, inside steps to basement, upstairs bathroom, caulking everywhere, etc.

And I have 3 of my grandsons coming for a couple weeks in June. They are 5, 7, & 9. I got some small quads for them on Craigslist. They can hardly wait.
