I have a 2013 Mahindra 5035HST(my first tractor)-I was mowing a pasture (last year PTO in auto mode)picked up the mower to go up a smaller slope(PTO disengage) when I lowered the mower the PTO would not engage. I have been trying many things for awhile now but mostly wondering is there an electrical schematic available anywhere so I can see if I can trace the problem. It won't engage in auto or manual , I still have a blinking PTO light that indicates it's disengaged.-feel like it's something simple I'm missing-I have hit the reset switch under the tractor and no change.Thanks for any tips/or links to schematics

Should just be a sensor not working have you talked with your dealer? checked all the fuses?

Thanks checked the fuses ,all ok....I have ordered a new sensor - hopefully that's it but looking at it and meter check everything seemed ok- Dealer is over 100 miles away so I am trying my best to fix it at home

Everything testing good at the actuator? how about the switch itself?

I have a 2014 Mahindra 3535. My auto PTO worked great last year, but I went to use it this year and it would not work. The PTO light would flash as the implement was raised up. Mine works fine in manual. I dropped my tractor off at the dealer Monday to see about getting mine fixed. When I hear something from them I will let you know and see if it will help you.

Thanks -yep tested all the switches,actuator seems ok too. Hit reset under the tractor but nothing but a flashing (disengaged) light and nothing in manual or auto.Should have my new relay this week and will install ,keeping my fingers crossed! Did find some rubbed wires at the PTO switch but no short obvious and still reads ok on the meter so taped and left in. I also ordered another switch,just in case. I'll post when I get this figured out-Thanks everyone much appreciated

i have a mahindra 5035 pst, blowing snow this winter i kept blowing pto fuse, found a short at bottom of engage/disengage switch where shuttle lever rubbed wiring, fixed with electrical tape. pto still would not engage, just flashed in auto and manual, 3pt up, down. called dealer lol!!! called mahindra texas, got a tech, he said there must be a short. with help of a friend started tracing wires. started at solenoid, 12 hours later we were taking dash apart. behind the dash to the left is a small black box [1/2x1/4x1/4] taped into the wiring harness with a yellow and a blue wire barely visible, if you check your owners manual wiring diagram this is called a flasher/timer. pushed release and removed, pryed it apart and found a diode inside. left out and tried pto again. it worked in manual. tried auto. everything works, except green light does not flash in auto, when 3pt is raised or clutch is disengaged, but pto does stop. part#E007700694D91 i do not know wether i will order or not as everything works. good luck to anyone else who has this problem.

I think you might have solved my problem, I hope, it may be awhile before I can dig into the problem. Tractor is at camp ready for Summer's work, mowing, brush hogging, and gardening, probably be next winters project when I bring her home for maintenance. Thanks

I have a new 3550 Hydro that the PTO quit working at less than 100 hours. Sent back to dealer and it ended up being a bad ground.

Call me crazy, but I expect my PTO to work even if Im flying - no ground even in sight.

I'm really glad that all my tractors (including the '02 Mah. 6000) have manual/mechanical PTOs...I can't believe something as integral to a unit can be shut down by a bad diode...hummmm...so this is progress...? BobG in VA
