Well my day got interesting really fast.
Took the wife and boy to Pizza Hut for lunch and then went for about a 2 hour drive. Try to come home and this mobile home is sitting in the ditch. So I come in the back way. Am home 5 minutes and a knock on the door. Can you bring your dozer down and pull us out. The tractor that's there can't. 60hp 4x4.
I'll come look at it but doubt my dozer is big enough. Go look. Yep it ain't even close enough to bring it down here. 4 axles at 4K each. Who have you called?
I get a list.
Ok I've got one more name. Let me call.
Leave voicemail. (It's Saturday afternoon he may already be passed out.) I tell the guy who owns the trailer I'll take him down to the shop of the guy that I tried calling to see if cousin or an employee is around. Cousin is there. He calls another guy. Other guy shows up with a 75hp 4x4. Can't lift the trailer. Truck was moved as its a hydraulic hitch and can mess up seals. So cousin goes back and gets the only tractor at the shop. A New Holland T8030. Front duals.
Comes in and with a chain picks up the trailer hitch and drags it out of ditch. No problems, couldn't even tell when he picked it up by watching tractor. 2 smaller ones were doing wheelies. Road is open. Only took 4 hours.
