Congrats!

A trailer too? To carry the 55HP TYM tractor? What brand/cost please? And list the six impliments too if you don't mind, thenks. Congrats!

BTW, no dealer, TYM or other, is going to compete against themselves on fire sale pricing. They might as well give away their stock, at what Cabela's is selling left over inventory for....
You got a great deal- now go enjoy using it, and don't sweat the warranty details- it'll be covered, one way or another. Neither Cabela's nor TYM can risk leaving their customer's in the dust.

Here is all that we purchased:
Cabela's Cab LM55H (55hp hydrostatic), Brush Guard (no charge), Loader LD108, Grading Scraper GS1072, 7 x 20 Trailer (double axle), Rotary Mower RC1172, Quick Hitch (no charge),
Forward Rotary Tiller TL2060, Pallet Forks PF4048S and Landscape Rake LR2072.
400.00 Freight
450.00 Retailing Rigging/Prep
50.00 Doc Fee
ALL IMPLEMENTS ARE MADE BY WOOD EXCEPT FOR TRAILER
Grand Total (less $500 downpayment) - $ 38,252.18 ( No sales tax as we have an Texas Ag ID #)
For an extra $325.00 +/- we are having beet juice (don't know exact name added to rear tires for the weight) but that was not included when we first did the deal. The beet juice has been discounted as well.

The reason we went with the 55 HP is that we have a ton of dirt work and we have a lot of surface rocks (small to medium in size). We have been looking for over a year while trying to figure out our long range goals with property. The biggest thing we saw in threads and heard from neighbors is to not buy an under powered tractor. We did not want to make that mistake. In the Deere we were looking at the 4052M and the Kubota L5060 and also L5460. At the end of the day we were still going back and forth on those two brands.
I feel like we made the right decision for us, although I know it is somewhat of a calculated risk.

P.S. I just wanted to thank all of you guys. I am a female and this world is out of my norm. I am very excited to learn a lot more and am happy to be in the country. I am less of a couch potato and am outdoors more and I absolutely love it. Thanks again for all of the input. I sincerely appreciate it!

That sounds like one heck of a deal Kate. Good luck with it.

Kate, that seems like a great value you guys got! I didn't see it posted, so I'll write it: post photos! We get vicarious pleasure out of seeing nice new equipment that other folks will be putting to good use. You should be pleased with yourselves!

One question Kate? Did they have to ship to you? Or was it on site? The reason I ask is that my tractor was on site and they did not charge me any freight, delivery nor prep. In fact, delivered to me no charge, then picked it up, installed the belly mower (about 6 man hours of work according to the tech) and then redelivered to me for only the discount price of the mower(less than half of the retail price). You still got a bang-up deal...

My concern is the capacity of the 7 x 20' trailer and what you are going to load it with. What brand and capacity is it? I take it freight means they are delivering it to your door?
If not, what are you towing it with - truck/towing capacity, etc.?

I just got a price on a Cabela's 36 HP with front end loader & a 72" finish mower, geared with shuttle shift for about 21,290 plus tax. I was just curious what they would sell it for. The hydrostsat transmission was only $1000 more.

I would say that the $$ they paid for freight was what Cabelas paid to have the tractor delivered to them..Much like a car dealer will add freight to recover the cost for the car being shipped from factory to their lot

Maybe so Kenmac, but it is interesting that I paid Nothing....... And they had just received the tractor I had to wait for them to install the loader. Obviously It is different with the various stores.....

I'm sure they made it up on the price somewhere... A lot of car dealers started figuring the delivery price into the car / vehicle price instead of listing it separately..unless the op post back that was a charge to deliver to their home,, we'll never know

Some delivery charges don't reinflate a great great discount as they got.

But its much more likely that the charges about implement transfers frpm a distant cabelas warehouse or distant store where they had some implements that the op wanted.

$400.00 Prep & $450 Freight is mandatory to be included in every tractor sale. They could sell "Tractor Model A" for $25,000.00 plus $850.00 Prep/Freight OR "Tractor Model A" for $25,850.00 including all fees - either way it is in there - each store is different in regards to how they write the contract. Handloader you did pay for it, it was just not line itemed out on your contract. Nothing sneaky going on just different ways to get to the same place...

And Congrats Kate on your new tractor!!! Remember... Pictures or it didn't happen! Which TX store?

This healthy conversation has me interested in checking them out deeper. I had a very good conversation with the Service Lead at the local Cabala's. i notice that there are LM43 and LM 50 with the Perkins 404D engine with Tier 4 Interim and I see the LM 45 and LM 55 with the Yanmar engines. I know the Perkins has been around a while and Yanmar is well tested. Is there any reason to avoid the Tier 4 Interim as opposed to the Tier 4 Final?

I will say that NOBODY has been able to meet or beat the price we got at Cabelas. And of course I know that nobody could. It's a one time fire sale. Cabelas in Allen, Texas is who we worked with only because they were the closest. They have been super responsive. Our delivery is scheduled for next Friday and I will be spending several hours as everything will be brought to me. I will definitely post pics. Some implements we will have to wait on as they are being shipped in from other locations. It may be several weeks but we are only talking 2 implements. According to our Sales Rep the implements are selling very fast. With regards to the Trailer I bought from Cabelas I don't know the brand but I will find out who makes it and post it tomorrow morning. The engine in the tractor I bought is a Yanmar, they discontinued Perkins which we were somewhat sad about, however Deere was also using Yanmar in the model that we were looking at. As far as freight and delivery, I got so much discounted and thrown into the deal it comes to a point where I am happy with the price and I am not going to continue to hen peck them over that :) I have saved AT LEAST $12,000 +/- on this deal. My experience with Cabelas has been very good. I will say that my local Deere dealer was exceptional. The Kubota guys...honestly they seemed to be resting on their laurels. I was NOT impressed. But I do realize dealerships can make it or break it. If I had not gotten the deal at Cabelas I was ready to deal with the local Deere dealership. They were super nice and patient with me answering questions. They wanted my business and were willing to go the mile to do whatever it took to win me over. I am not exaggerating. They were super awesome and if I ever need any other equipment I am going to give them my business.

Congrats katetx! Is there a breakdown on your bill of sale listing only the price of tractor/loader? I was quoted $30,750 for 55hp and $28,995 for the 45. This was a hydro/cab/tractor/loader. Thanks!
