I'm under the impression that Kubota does build most of their own tractors. If they don't they have been able to keep a pretty good lid on it. Years ago Kioti did build some models for them and then there was a falling out. I thought I heard Ted from everything attachments say in one of his videos that Ansung out of South Korea was building some of their loaders and backhoes however I do not know this for sure and could have misunderstood. I also had heard a rumor that Kubota used US-made Dana Drive systems on some of their models but I was never able to verify this.

I believe all Kubota FELs and tractor backhoes are made in Georgia. From the one Georgia plant FELs and tractor backhoes are shipped worldwide.

Kubota has three plants in Georgia. Kubota is under construction on a large distribution center in Kansas.

Since 2013 we are seeing significant changes in brand sales in scut and cut sales in the U.S.. Frankly all the activity outside the U.S. is immaterial . . because there is no way for me to understand it.

Even in the U.S. the geographical differences make it hard to evaluate. We all know that ag equipment saes have dropped cnsiderably in 2014 and 2015 in areas like WI and MN and have increased in the non-ag scut and cut areas.

Take as an example Kubota . . Still lots of dealers . . but those dealers also were/are involved with Agco/Case/White/Massey . . So now lots of those kubota shops also are selling Massey scuts like the GC1700s because Agco said so as of 2013. My point is that numbers in 2012 compared to 2016 are going to be greatly different for sales by size of tractor as well as which brand names are involved.

AxleHub, can I ask what you do for a living?

So far the only hard data we have in this thread is that Kubota crossed 51% a few years back, but that goes along with what I have seen/heard from other threads here on TBN -- they have the #1 spot by a long shot. Deere was in #2, and then all the others combined were a distant #3. Some of the other companies' individual numbers were so small that they could double or triple sales and still not dramatically change market share.

If someone has time to search, maybe the older threads will pop up. They had links to some market data estimates by analysts.

But I don't see how they can use that to put down the smaller companies that they're buying the tractors from, just doesn't make sense. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Kubota is on top if you only count compact and subcompact and then only the tractors they produce themselves.

Kubota produces all their own equipment, they don't sub-contract machines. That does not mean they don't buy alternators, tires, etc from someone else.

I've never seen Kubota or Deere using their size to put down anyone else. That's not their style.

I work with small businesses regarding how they can benefit from computer office automation and business ideas to improve their efficiency. I'm guessing there was a reason why you asked . . because I've never made it a secret in my posts.

Thanks for replying. I do not think you have misrepresented yourself. (Or at least no more than the rest of us do!)
I just find the psychology of people interesting.

Messick,

1. I've heard that any LandPride item that is marketed for Kubota use has to be thoroughly evaluated and approved by Kubota engineers before LandPride offers it for sale. That certainly shows their commitment.

2. Does Kubota actually manufacture the mmm units and fel units and backhoes themselves . . or does someone else build them to Kubotas requirements?

3. I'd heard that Kubota actually acquired or owns part of LandPride . . is that true or just gossip?

Greetings Luke,

If one were to ask about my "psychology", it could be summarized in very few words.

1. I love to learn.

2. I challenge myself and others.

3. Heritage wisdom is to be gathered.

4. I'm impressed by courage and determination mixed with passion and humility . . not titles or certificates.
