re-open the thread and go down to the reply box. It will say "recover auto-saved content" in the bottom left corner.
I'm not convinced that's a net benefit. Obviously, its causing a lot of double posts and user frustration.

Also I have several times recently started a reply, then lost what I wrote when I somehow let Autosave over-write it. I wouldn't have abandoned that earlier draft, that I had already forgotten, if I thought it was worth posting! The subsequent, better version being drafted got eliminated by a feature I don't even want.

Are you one of the system programmers? Can you just turn the darn thing off?

==============

Added: ... And here I am waiting for this window to return, while in a new tab I can see it already posted.

...The original window eventually returned '500 Internal Server Error'. So I had to make this edit in a different window that correctly shows the thread.

Is all this nuisance worth it, for a feature few people will ever need?

I just live with it. If you can not stand it you don't have to reply.

Here's a couple of gems that I came across while looking for something else.

I think he has the hauling capacity maxed out on this Ford.

An innovative "boom truck" or the beginning of a "How many Mexicans does it take to change a lightbulb?" joke:

Reminds me of this "bucket truck" for the street light crew.

Is this some banana republic or maybe an island nation? Please don't tell me it's this country.

Belize, this comedy was going on outside a gift shop. I just had to get a picture or no one would believe me.

There are a lot of golf courses around here. This is how most carts are hauled.

In the first photo, the cart may also be secured to the front bumper rail- can't tell. Maybe too far forward for tongue weight??

Second photo: sitting on the dove tail, rear wheels pretty near the edge, and gravity constantly trying to move it backwards. Also, can't tell if there
is anything on the forward end of the trailer- if not, then maybe too little tongue weight?

Second photo looks like a worse situation than the first.

No photos (they are picky about taking photos here) but just walked past a contractor's truck, Chevy 3500 dual rear wheel with a 2 1/2 inch receiver hitch, with a 2 inch ball mount pinned in it.

No trailer on it at the moment, but I guess they tow with it that way.

No spacer/adapter.

I noticed it because it was pointed down a bit and from a distance I thought it was bent.
