Makes perfect sense that a foreign welder will work better with foreign welding rod. :laughing:
This Everlast PowerArc ST is just like my PowerArc 200. It really likes ESAB's Sureweld 10P Plus 6010.

I take it you prefer the standard + and - ports over using the dedicated 6010 port on the welder when using 6010? (FWIW: I rarely use the dedicated 6010 port on my Everlast PA-300 but all I burn in the fast freeze rod class is 6011. I never run 6010 at home. The regular +/- ports are simply more like what I am used to with 6011 compared to my older transformer welders with 6011. I simply am not good enough to relearn I guess ).

No when running 6010, I use the 6010 port. That was the first picture I came across of the welder, so I used it.

That is my understanding.
The automatic arc force works really well on this machine. When doing open root pipe welding, I can jam the rod right through the gap, to date I haven't lost the arc yet!
