Any thoughts on what would be a good size and model to get for the back blade on a 5045E John Deere? I have a BushHog 7 foot right now that just isn't built up to the toughness needed. We bent a part on it and I want to go a little heavier but not necessarily overkill either. The blade I have now is a 5007. Thinking about going to a 7008 in in the BushHog but certainly am not against any other manufacturer. Thanks for any ideas. Also, I am not convinced the 7 footer is what I need but we seem to get along with it ok.

I am sure you are probably right but I am not thinking I want to spend that much more. Looks like a great blade though!

My suggestion would be to price them both out. Doesn't cost $$ to just get a price. You may be surprised at what you find to be the cost difference.
