Everlast powerpro 164 plasma/tig/stick
Has anyone used this outfit ?
If so how is it ,the good the bad the ugly
Ive got a stick welder , mig welder and torch set but been thinking about getting a plasma and tig set up for aluminum but dont want to spend a fortune cause it will just be used for hobby around home
Any info appreciated

I can't tell how many times I've read where to never buy a combination of plasma and Tig with high frequency machine! Seems as Miller, and Lincoln have not come up with the technology yet!

Yup.

Something with the HF for TIG won't play nice with the plasma parts.

If you want a combination machine, look for MIG-TIG- stick. And have a separate machine for plasma cutting.

My choice would be either a new Everlast or used transformer machine ;Lincoln Precision Tig or Miller Syncrowave.

Thermal arc/Tweco and HTP are good units.

But my favorites are big old transformer machines. Generally under $800 and sometimes under $400.

The one in my avatar was $225 and is 900 lbs of awesome

I think ill just keep welding aluminum with the oxyacetylene for now
