Hi everyone,

Just bought a house with 10 acres. probably 2 to 3 acres of grass (yuck) I'll need to take care of, 100 yrd drive to maintain/plow, garage to build, things to move, etc, etc. I've been reading posts for a while now, decided it was time to log on and say hello. Lots of great info and people on here. I'll be making an official "help me pick a tractor" post once I learn enough to ask more intelligent questions and find out what dealers have in the area. Until then...HELLO.

Welcome. I am in Eastern PA and just bought my first tractor, BX25. If you are near, feel free to stop by and check it out. Sounds like we have similar home sites.

Thank you everyone.

Millsan, looks like you're about 80 miles away. If I find myself headed your direction, I may take you up on your offer to stop by.

Redneckracin, what kind of racing do you do? Ever make it to Rolling W Ranch north of Pittsburgh?

Funny story tom, I have had the same forum name since I was on a grandprix forum. I never raced competitively, but I have ran the flashlight drags at the clarion airport. I also have a cr500 that is pretty wicked! Never been to rolling w, where is it at? I travel to pitt pretty regularly and I also went to school there!

Rolling W Ranch is just outside of Butler. It's an offroad track, very nice place/people. I've been making the trek to race buggies there for some years now. More than once I've seen someone there with redneck racing on their vehicle , I was wondering if that was you.

Just an update for those that are interested. I ended up buying a Kubota B3200. 5yrs old, 280 hrs, very nice machine, well kept. No backhoe, seriously considering the option but it's a spendy proposition. In the interim looking for a box blade and landscape rake to work on driveway maintenance and re-landscaping once the bank for the garage is dug out. I'll have many yards of dirt from that. I'll have the excavator put in some real drainage while they're here so driveway maintenance is no longer a weekly project. Doing lots of reading to see what it will take to add a top and tilt as well to make those projects a little easier.

Glad you found a new toy, I mean tractor! I think that is about the same size as my L3400 which I'm very happy with. Post some pics for us.

ok, let's try this....

It's fairly overcast, storm brewing, so pics aren't the brightest.

Hmm, somehow some appear to have attached as thumbnails, others directly into the post. Not sure what I did. Anyway, enjoy. If you're like me, you enjoy pics.

I went to look at a used landscape rake today, unfortunately it was too used:(

Yes, it certainly is like new. Only 280 hrs, lived in a garage, very well cared for by the previous owner. I really like it so far.

I'm outside of Ashland PA (an hr north of Harrisburg).

Do you happen to have the Kubota quick attach for your FEL bucket? I'm interested in adding it to mine but not sure if I could use my bucket or if I'd have to buy a different one.
