D905 Kubota engine High RPM's

My steiner 230with a Kubota D905 will increase its RPM's, past the recommended limit, when I travel downhill. I have to lower the throttle at the top of the hill in anticipation to keep the RPM's below 3200.

..... Anyone had this kind of issue? What are my troubleshooting options?

I don't think that's unusual slow down or throttle down .

I have other steiner's that do not have this problem. I would imagine It needs to have some kind of rev limiting mechanism. The problem is new.

I would be talking to a diesel injection rebuild shop with experience with Kubota's injection pumps. Talk to the service manager where you purchased the tractor.

I don't know that I have the same engine, but my BX has roughly the same size engine. Mine according to the tach will get up to 3500 rpms at times. Pretty high, but I wouldn't worry about going over 3200 by a little bit.
