L3800 hydraulic level

This may be a dumb question, but How do I check the hydraulic level on my L3800?

Should be a sight glass on side of tractor with clutch

Ya, the sight glass is just under the operator platform behind the clutch. Invisible Super UDT2 is a poor match for a sight glass, especially if the level is a hair above or below the sight glass.

I have added half of http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00TFXHBXW/ref=aw_cr_item?si=186-1140938-4013830 to mine & can now see the fluid easily. Apparently its $5 at your local JD dealer.

Can you use CaseIH hytran in Kubotas?

Is it a HST? If it is, I would only use Kubota Super UDT or Super UDT2. 2 is better in colder climates than normal UDT, but probably not any better where its warmer.

You can be a lot more lax if its a gear transmission.
