Dealer delivered Friday and spent the weekend doing some light clearing getting used to the controls. Got a bh860 backhoe and 6ft box blade with it. I dropped the bh to use the boxblade sat morning. Few hours later i went back to hook the bh back up and one of the quick connects would not reattach. Was finally able to get the fitting on, but took well over an hour. Is there a way to prevent the hydro pressure from building up?

dont connect the ones on the bh together...leave them uncoupled...made the same mistake the first time

Cycle the control levers before you disconnect it, which will relieve pressure in the lines. Should be standard practice for any hydraulic implement that you plan to disconnect.
That makes sense, but wouldnt i Have to set it on blocks in order to not move or drop it on the ground? Dealer unattached it and hooked it back up before he left, but didnt mention doing that. Thanks!

you may want to consider Skid Steer connectors. They are flat faced, more expensive, but do provide easier coupling, with lines loaded as well.

Thanks guys I will try that. Very new to tractors, was around them as a kid, but its been a while. Got a 6ft box blade and used it some. Should I use the lower connecting pins for the 3pt hitch or the tops ones with the boxblade?

Fairly new myself but I had the same problem. I had left DC on about mid-way from when I was bush hogging. Loosen the thumbscrew and push your DC lever all the way down for using the box blade. It makes a world of difference. Oh and not sure what you mean about top ones and lower ones when referring to the pins, but to operate the box blade or any other 3pt implement, you are going to have to attach both lower arms and your upper arm to make it work.:thumbsup:

Thanks deisaroo. I did have the draft all the way down, it just seemed too sensitive and would not stay engaged well. First little resisitance and it would raise up just a little. There are two connection points on the tractor for the lower arms. Do you use the upper or lower with the box blade?
Box Blades just work off of force/weight. It will need to start building up dirt before it really gets to digging since there is no down pressure on most utility tractor 3pnt systems. The angle of the boxblade will determine how well it digs also.

Dunno...on mine I only see one set of holes. Maybe yours has an extra set for the backhoe?:confused3:

Just did some bush hogging today and saw the other set of pins. My tractor was delivered with the lower set of pins attached to the arms and I have not moved them and everything seems to be working well in that position.

If your talking about were the 3pnt arms hook to the tractor there are two sets for a reason. It will be hooked up to the bottom set since they have bushing on them to make them fit Cat 2 size holes. the top will be Cat 1s. Your tractor is convertible from Cat1 to Cat 2 by flipping around the 3pnt arm and attaching to the adjacent side on the top pin. then flip your top link around along with the factory pins that were sent with them.
