It's been a while since I logged onto the web site and what a surprise to find the pages no longer download without freezing. There is so much advertising and active advertising I can no longer see the content. You've turned a useful and informative web site into a slug of a web site that is no longer useful due to the time it takes to load pagers, if they load at all. I can't even get to the forums. The pages get hung up on loading the add content.

Sorry to see such an informative website turn to crap. I'll have to find another place to get and share thoughts and ideas.:thumbdown::thumbdown:

I use the IPAD App to read this forum and have not experienced the problems you are referring to. I read this forum daily and appreciate all of the free advice I have read over the years from some very knowledgeable people who post here.

It's more flooded than when I joined. But generally I get along okay. Once in a while I'll have trouble with it being slow so I just log off and come back later. Once in a while I'll have problems trying to post, have to type very slow. If it's bad enough I just move on and do it later. I understand your frustration but wonder how much of it is the sites problem and how much of it might be your server?? I'm not a computer guru so can never figure that out if I have problems.

Try using Firefox browser with an extension called Ad Block Plus. That will improve your experience greatly.

It was so slow that I thought maybe something was wrong with my computer or my ISP this morning, but it's cleared up just fine now, and of course I have no idea where the problem was. But I sure do suspect it was my ISP.

Was slow for me also this morning, but fine now.

The site was a little slow this morning.

I use Chrome with adblok plus, and I don't see any ads. Just get adblok plus for what ever browser you like. It is that simple.

http://www.speedtest.net/

Ookla is a good way to test your ISP download and upload speed. Our cable company uses Ookla to test for speed issues at customer homes. Our cable service is currently getting overwhelmed by streaming in the evenings, which running Ookla confirms. Our download speed has varied from 10 mbps (what we subscribe for) down to 0.2 mbps (which we are not happy about ) during busy periods. They say they have some equipment upgrades planned--soon.

If an internet site is slow, you can test your current ISP speed, or compare TBN's speed by going to other sites to see if there is much difference. Adblock will definitely decrease page loading times.

TBN was very erratic for me yesterday morning and it looked like TBN itself was part of the problem.

Agreed! The best browser with the correct add ons makes all the difference in the world. Speedtest.net often shows us at close 40mbps if not a tad over.

Been here since the 90's use plenty of blocking software and don't have any problems. I only see one add on the right and that's FAR, FAR less than any other sites on the web

Member for awhile but have not used the site much. It does seem overloaded with annoying (animated) ads. I don't see any pics for postings where the poster indicated there are pics. Went to the 'contact us' button at the bottom of the page and that takes you to a screen with two options, Get Customer Support and Buy Advertising. Guess which link does not work!

Tried the HELP button at the bottom of the page and I get a 404 (Page Not Found) error and a redirect to some site called KAYAKO. I assume they 'maintain' the site but they want a login (not my tractorbynet login) to request any help. I am giving up but thought I would at least let someone know. I just wanted to see the pics for a posting that would have helped me.
