Will a BX Plow Snow

Only if you were closer, I'd help you get that transmission out, rebuilt and put back in. Look on the bright side, a few grand will get you back on the road.

Thanks Dave, I appreciate the thought! I'm leaning towards a DTT tranny anyway. Actually, 1) if it wasn't December, and 2) I didn't have severe arthritis, it would already be out! such is life, just happens whenever you're not a kid anymore! I used to be a Cummins generator mechanic, I'm not getting rid of the truck until there is a hole in the block I can't weld, they don't make mechanical diesels anymore.

Old post but first time I've seen it, so I'll play along. Back when I had my BX2200, it was great at plowing snow, but sure was a pain in the neck to look backwards for so long. 5 foot blade, no ballast in turf tires.

yes i have a bx 1830 with a blower on the back and fld and it good enought for me

It won't only plow the snow it will drive right through it.

The BX will plow, a M7040 will plow same amount a bit faster, I still use my BX for snow, but fitted with a front snowblower, works fantastic:thumbsup:

I just plowed about 6-8 inches of snow yesterday with our BX and it did find but I wish that we had chains on the rear tires but it did great for the amount and the type of snow that we got. It took me one hour to plow two parking lots out each with about 12 parking spots each. I tried using the rear blade and it didn't work as well as I had hoped that it would. So I plowed most of the driveway with the bucket. I made snow piles that were about 4-5 tall so far. I have to plow another like 2-3 inches this afternoon when I get home from school but that wont be to bad.

Yeah, why use a plow when you can use the blower? Works much faster, the rear ones are only about $1700, and you can still use the front bucket.
