Hi All,
New member here looking for a repair manual for my John Deere LX 178. Hydro Drive belt gave out and took a couple of idler/tension pulleys with it to boot. Wondering if I can replace the belt from underneath or if I have to disassemble the unit from the ground up??? Nothings ever simple. Also, is there a safety (By the look of them I think I already know the answer = the 2 plastic pulleys) to prevent damage to the engine when the broken belts binds up on the pulley. Man the engine made a **** of a racket before the belt broke.
