Good afternoon all. 75F this morning going to 96F sunny and light breeze, very humid (dp 72F). Cleaning this morning (wire brushed the carbon of the stovetop). 3rd ride this week today instead of tomorrow du to schedule conflicts (golf :) ). Finish mowing clean up apples and trim finish out the task list.

Good afternoon. Bright windy day. 102˚ predicted at 5pm, but just 93˚ at noon. My tractor is happy with this morning's fresh oil change on it's 900th hour.
Dr. changed my statin from Simvastatin to Crestor 8 weeks ago, my blood labs this week are stable (same as 8 weeks ago) and no more body aches and cramps in the middle of the night. I hope it continues, the only drawback is the cost, but the patent expires in January 2016 and then generics will be available shortly after.

what a horrible afternoon I've had and totally out of the blue. Got a letter from the HOA who were alerted by the ordering of the HOA regs for the new owner. 150 bucks I paid for a set of photocopies...yikes. So they sent an inspector out.
bong bong bong
illegal garden shed
illegal rear deck
violations, violations...

Good lord...first of all the shed is within the right size limits, but we did not file a request. So now I have to get signatures from three neighbors, all of whom appear to be at the shore. Secondly, the deck was a redecking of an original, but I doubt my late wife applied for the paperwork on that...before I arrived on the scene.
So the carpenter has to come over on Saturday morning and write up some drawing of the deck, its construction, etc and reiterate this was a redecking only.

All of which has to go to some review board next Tuesday night so boy am I scrambling. This will absolutely stop settlement on my home if they don't cut me some slack.
Well deserved slack I might say.
but will they...

sure don't need this at this point. Sort of like Mossflower finding out he had two other wives who wanted support...

Boy, Drew, that sux.
Just reinforces my dislike for HOAs.
Hope you get it sorted out in timely manner.

I don't recall anyone praising their HOA. What a pain, just passing papers in the end I bet, I hope. It's always something.

I figured the ground is about as dry as it is going to get today, so I spent several hours grading out a grassy area that had stumps pulled. Sod doesn't really grade, but I rolled it around and filled in the stump holes. Gathered some rocks and woody stuff, roots, etc. That area is done now except for spreading some grass seed.

Goodbye all.....starting a new chapter in my life... Thanks to everyone.....you are a great group of guys and I have learned much from all of you. After close to 8,000 posts (many of them by postwhoring) I have decided it's time to depart TBN before I get banned....sorry it has to end.

THANKS TO ALL !!!!!!

Just havin' neighbors is usually bad enough ... having ones which have organized into a non-governmental body in order to interfere with your property rights is completely beyond the pale ...

Hope you get it sorted out in timely manner.
Ditto ...

56 right now...high of 65 today and rain most of the day. I'm glad I mowed most of the lawn over the last couple days!

This is my last day at my current job. I got a call (a few weeks back) from a much bigger company (worldwide, in fact) for a Quality Engineer position. The money isn't much better, but the benefits are....and I think the long term prospects are much better.
