...Wedding is now less then a month from now and I'm beginning to panic. LOL...

Just an off the wall suggestion that I know would work...but it is using materials you are most likely not familiar with but that should not be an issue given your skills...

What I suggest is "fiberglass"...stay with me here...
...look at a material called >Divinycell<... (Google it)...it is a closed cell pvc foam sheet material...

a 1/4" 4'x8' sheet weighs just ounces...you can cut it into shingles and use a heat gun to form it..it cools quickly and retains it shape...use contact cement (same as used on laminates like formica etc.) to secure it to any substrate... it can easily be sanded (for feathering etc)...

Then simply apply a few layers of a light weight (3/4 oz) fiberglass mat (very easy to work with and form with)...using either polyester resin or epoxy resin...then apply a tinted (whatever color you choose) gel-coat and it will be impervious to the elements and will probably outlive the more organic materials in the rest of your structure...

For more information or explicit details just PM me...

Good luck with whatever you work out...

I have five weekends to finish it off and get everything ready. If I don't have it done by the fifth weekend, I'm taking the week off before the wedding. It will be done and it will be amazing. I have at least a hundred clients coming to this and it would be very bad for my reputation to not have it done. It's not just a wedding, it's a marketing event. :)

I'm still committed to using the shingles for the onion dome. Might be that I'm just being stubborn, but I'm sure I can figure this out and make it work.

Here is a nice picture Karen's son's girlfriend took of it over the weekend.

Now I'm working on the railings. I came up with this pattern and materials on my first gazebo, that I haven't finished yet.

I'm going to use flagstone for the floor. The base gravel and sand where delivered yesterday and I started spreading it a little last night. If I finish with that this week, I'll buy the rock this weekend. My main focus is on getting the railings done so I can take of the supports and Karen can start on the flowers. But I want to get the soffit done before she starts planting.
