Making the PT Seat more comfortable

I went both high-tech and high-cost to upgrade the seat in My Kubota L4330. Since I'm 275 (+), I bottom out the OEM seat leaving zero suspension while driving it.

I replaced the safety springs with new springs from McMaster-Carr (about $12 for 6 springs, only used two (if anyone wants two, LMK)) and then a bag of tennis balls from the local Walmart ($4 for 9 balls IRC).

Much better seat!

Having hit my head on the ROPS/FOPS more than once, I've been reluctant to reduce the available headroom by upgrading the seat. Mine is getting quite worn, however, and the time is coming...

My seat is starting to get a little thin in the foam too. Im pretty short so haven't hit my head while in the seat and just a few time while getting in or out, but i've pretty much learned where the rops is so it's been awhile since i've clocked my head on it.

I put a suspension seat on a ZRT. Huge difference in how fast I can mow on rough terrain. Much easier on the back. Probably would work on pt if you're not too tall...adds a couple inches of height. Unfortunately I did not test fit it on the pt-425.

For my PT-425, I just got one of those purple seat cushions. (Perhaps you have seeen their funny commercials). It really is an amazing improvement to my comfort level driving “Artie”
And costs a lot less then a some of the seat modifications I have been reading about.

I put a foam pad under the ROPs to prevent this.
