who makes rural king's 15w40 oil? it's way cheaper than even walmart...

They put one in an old KMart in Spring Hill (35 miles south of me) and I went a couple of times. A good selection. They also have some very good prices on guns.
My wife likes it because they give you free popcorn to eat while your shopping.
They are putting one in an old Sears in our local mall right now. We drove up to the doors today and there is nothing in it yet.
All of my friends at work are excited to see it. We all drive by it every day so it will be very handy.

I too like Rural King for their Stihl selection. I will go there if I need something small, like a chain or bar. I prefer to support smaller shops if I am going to actually buy a machine, especially since Stihl dictates the prices and they are the same no matter where you go. Besides, my next purchase will probably be an MS261, and for whatever reason Rural King does not carry them. Maybe you have to order it, or maybe Stihl limits some of it's better selling pro-grade stuff to the smaller operations. Rural King doesn't have anything bigger than an MS441 IIRC.

Within 50 miles of me we have Rural King, Big R, 2 TSC's, and about 4 Farm and Fleets. Farm and Fleet is my favorite among them with TSC being my least favorite. If I were shopping by price only Big R and Rural king would be my favorite, they are almost the same store IMO. I don't know, why but I just don't really like TSC.

And yes, Menards is my favorite home improvement store.

For me, TSC seems higher priced then Farm and Fleet, Farm and Home, or Rural King. But in my opinion Rural King isn't nearly as good as it was 10 years ago. They seem to be getting away from the farm.

I grew up with farm and fleet, the 3 others are all new to my area within the last few years.

Quality Farm and Fleet is no more around here. Rural King, TSC, and Menards around here. For whatever reason.

I really wish we could get an ASC in my area. I've ordered from them online for some actual "tractor supplies" and they where about 1/3rd the price of TCS for PTO shafts, belts, and similar stuff.

they are killing tractor supply in my area.. and are even undercutting most of the feed co-ops in 2 counties by near 2$ per bag across the board.

Same here we had a new to us store open up some months ago in Bonita Springs, Fl .

R-King has been a big deal to us down here being in the sw end of the peninsula.

Folks on this thread have mentioned all type of stores like TSC/R-King etc just thought I'd mention though a way smaller store when my travels take me through Tenn I always check out the CO-OP stores if they still exist. Don't know if they are only in Tenn or what and or independently owned . ?

Friend bought a log splitter for his son. Did not know the pump manufacture. Called Rural King headquarters and talked to the buyer. He did not know and actually took my number and called me back thirty minutes later with a answer. liked their service and price. TSC changes suppliers every year on welders and chainsaws, just about the time you need something. Not overly loyal to any store.

TSC is a joke! Rural King came here 20 years ago when I was in college in 1992 and they have ruled this market. Same with Menards.

You will find the price is always way cheaper then TSC on about everything.
