Deckover Trailer opinions and options

Maybe our trailer is setup differently, but we have a 15k tri axle enclosed trailer that's built as a deckover (no interior wheelwells)

When its loaded and I turn sharply, the front and rear tires really take a beating. I can see the sidewalls being dragged across pavement. Now out on the road, making sweeping turns doesn't seem to affect it any.

That's a huge setup for such a little hoe! Won't be over weight for sure!

Wow here we go again. From my experience if you are hauling pallets you need a flat bed. Much nicer. As far as the gooseneck thing, with a 250 you will be more stable with heavy loads but I still get into the 12-14k range + the trailer with a tag. CJ

HaHaHa Agreed - looking at my post #20 it does look like a ridiculous "overkill", this trailer normally hauls a 22T unit around ......but the only photo's at hand had one of the "toys" loading......

I had a deck over 22' bp for years. I sold it and upgraded to a 25' gooseneck with tandem duals. I still have a small 18' bp car trailer that I use when hauling light loads. I will never go back to a bp for hauling anything heavy. If the tractor is going, the gooseneck is going. It pulls so much easier, turns easier, backs easier, and it alot easier on my truck.
