Hello fellas been a member for about a year. Finally on here to introduce myself. It will most likely be my only post as I'm a rookie when it comes to forums and can't quite figure out how to use them.
Anyway I'm from upstate New York about 25 miles south of the canadian border in the Adirondack Mountains. I own a TYM tractor T 433 bought it last year to restore the 50 acre farm stead I bought and I live in the Original 1870 log cabin built by a union colonel after the war.
I have lots of attachments to go with her. Like Backhoe, Box Blade, Brush Hog, Post hole digger, gear driven Tiller and rake.
In the last 10 months I have put about 170 hours on it with no problems except the fast dump or loader control valve needs to be adjusted because the roll dump is to slow. Will get to that when the snow melts.
Most of the time the hours were from brush hogging or stump digging with the backhoe. And a water line trench or two for my neighbors.
My intentions are to start a little homestead to teach my two sons the value of hard work while having fun playing with big toys.

So far you're doing great posting! Try to make sure all your QDs are completely connected for the roll/dump circuit.
Your stead sounds like a cool place to hang out.
Keep coming back, you'll get the hang of the forums in no time.

Hey almost a neighbor, I'm more closer to the Southern part of the Adirondacks, welcome to the forum. Is winter ever going to leave up-state N.Y.

About an Hour from tupper. Just outside Malone. I have a sister and nieces and nephews that live in Tupper. Before I moved out here I lived in Saranac Lake for about 22 years.

Beautiful up there. Have a hunting camp in Long Lake with a buddy who has family in Tupper and Long Lake.

Hello from the east coast of Lake Huron. My ancestors brought a Scottish accent that still lingers. They probably chased a few natives off their land too.

May I ask where you purchased your tractor? Thanks

Sure. I purchased my tractor at Pete's tractors in Potsdam NY. They should have a per motion really soon if not already where they give a free Loader with the tractor. Go to Home Page talk with Pete he can get you financed for almost anything if your credit score is decent. Through Agricredit Acceptance. I bought the machine and 5 attachments without a Nicole down.

Welcome.
Franklin County. Ok, that definitely qualifies as "upstate". A term that is always debatable/relative. For some, it's a location that starts above Yonkers.
(Hmm, philosophizing here: If you use the term upstate to apply to all areas north of your location, relative to you; and not because you've geographically divided the state in half, does that mean a you're self-centered d-bag that thinks the world revolves around you, oblivious of other's perspective or detached from geographic realities? Can you tell this is my pet peeve when a magazine or someone from THE City (what city you ask?, well obliviously there's only one!) says they have property in upstate NY and their talking about someplace near Poughkeepsie! :banghead:)

When we took our daughter to college at SUNY Binghamton I happened to ware a Syracuse baseball cap,now most of the students were from "downstate" and had heard of Syracuse. When we told them we lived 120 miles North of Syracuse they kind of gave us a blank look!

I just tell them No. No I live in farm country by the Canadian border in the STATE of New York.

Haha. Yeah they must have been lost.. what 120 miles north you mean you live in the Arctic Circle..lol. Kind of sad really people don't even travel or have basic knowledge of their own state.. So are you North east or North west of Syracuse.
