Ratchet Rake on BX2660

Anyone have experience using a ratchet rake on a BX? I'm looking to clear out an acre of 3/4" saplings for food plots.

Anyone have experience using a ratchet rake on a BX? I'm looking to clear out an acre of 3/4" saplings for food plots.

I have on a BX25, B3200, L3240 and currently on a B2620 (same RatchetRake I used on the BXs, the one on the L was different one/bigger). The RR is one of my most used implements that I won't sell until I sell my tractor and maybe still wouldn't sell it until I had already rec'd a replacement for it. The Pirinia will also do it but it doesn't have the lower teeth for finish work like the RR. I have done some brush cleaning with the RR but use it on a regular basis using the lower finer teeth for finish leveling ready for seed. Sure Piriniah supports will give their input and I've never used on but I have owned 2 RRs and currently own one which I won't go without.

Thanks, JT. I need to order one through my local TSC store - they don't offer it in-store nor online (didn't sell enough fast enough) but they'll order it in @ $300. planting new yard, have a homemade spike drag to put some furrows in the dirt, but not very handy dragging it by chain where you need it; the RR sounds exactly what I'm looking for.

For one tool to make food plots go with the RR. It will remove brush and prep the ground.

The Piranha is a great tooth bar for digging and also removes brush, etc

Thanks for the input, I'm going with the RR. I have been taking out the 3/4" dia. aspen saplings with a walk behind brush mower which works great but is hard on the 55 year old operator. I hope that the RR will help reduce the time spent behind the walk behind.

I also have one it is a very handy tool and very well made. I am sure you will find uses for it that you never knew about.
