The answer what you are willing to pay comes to mind. I'd like to find one, however I'm not willing to spend alot for one. I know someone with a Befco RMD 272 can't find much online about them there is a RMD 372 which I'm assuming is the new version. It is a medium duty (though not quite as medium duty as some others I've seen) 6 ft rotary cutter. has a slip clutch, front chain guards, doesn't look too beat up (a couple dings front and rear), paint is faded. What's a 6ft bush hog going for?

You can buy a new 6" rotary cutter / mower medium duty Countryline from TSC for about $1100. I'm sure there are other brands new for $1100-2K. If I needed a used 6' rotary mower I would look to spend well under 1K (more like $500-700). I'd also watch for local farm equipment auctions. This is just my opinion and with $1.50 will get you a nice cup of coffee.

I'm with George. Go used. I bought a 6' Rhino from a member on here. It was in very good shape. I think I paid $575, might have been $600, can't remember for sure. Either way, 50% of new. Still got it. Haven't spent a dime on it.

There's a lot of price variation depending on make and model. I'm kinda hard on mine so want one that's durable. Stump pan is a must. slip clutch is preferred. Chains are a luxury in that size.

I'm looking used at a Befco 272. Sorry if I wasn't clear about that. What I meant was I couldn't find a used one online just the new one.

I know you are looking at a Befco but your question at the end asked what a 6' bush hog was going for. I stated what a new medium duty would cost and figured about half for used. It works out about the same as Piloon said, $100. per foot for used.

In my neck of the country $100 never see that. Cheapest I seen was a 6' for $950 That was rebuilt too. If you can find one here its $200-$300 per ft.

In the states, you can buy new for that price, $200 per foot for lightweight and $300-400 for medium to heavy duty models below 7 foot in size. Above 7 foot the price climbs steeply.
