I yank'em off and either the supervisor or the safety officer magically appears at my side.

Ive had the argument like this "How is it safer IF I CANT SEE WHAT IM DOING!!!".... I never win though... :D

And magically, it seems that safety glasses do their best to DIRECT dust into my eyes when otherwise it wouldn't... I can understand when using power tools.. but just walking around??? :mad:

I actually DO hold my breath for short welds, or as long as I can stand anyway.
Old time trick was to spit in your goggles then rub it around until dry...it does seem to help.

I have a Lincoln Viking auto. It's great until I can't see what I'm doing. I'm going to give the bar soap a try as well.

Keep the suggestions comin...

Try adjusting the headgear so that, when you flip the hood down, it stops a little farther out away from your face..

I have trouble with fogging lens a lot, what did welders do when they built the Alaskan pipe line year's ago? it must of been cold.
