Here is a simple little mod I made to my BX without having to drill, weld, or rivet on the tractor. Thanks to 4Shorts for the idea, I now do not have to turn my head repeatedly to watch my blade. I made a video (my first) of the install and posted on YouTube. I hope you like it.

Here are a couple pics of the finished product.

Great improvement.

Looks good

Thanks creekbend and Murph... actually the challenge for me was making a decent quality video. Pretty much the first I have ever done. The mod itself is obviously quite simple but the use of ClickBond parts/adhesive is still a bit novel to most.

That click bond is pretty slick, though I'm not sure what it costs to buy and use. Another amazing product, to me, is the 3M VHB double faced tape. This is what holds the lettering on the side of your car or truck. Some versions are rated at 100# / square inch. People have used it to put solar panels on RV roofs to avoid holes. It is available on Amazon and eBay.

ElectricalHub.com | Your Electrical Connection is a great dealer. I used CS125 1/4-20 threads by 1in long stainless steel studs. Ideally if you can get shorter length great, otherwise you can't live with the length, just cut them off after install.

The 3M tape bonds by the exclusion of oxygen. Because of this, the initial high pressure is very important with this tape to make sure, all the oxygen is removed. (I am a retired 3M Labby)

Click Bond uses VHB tape and lots of it on the temporary pressure application fixtures. Great stuff indeed, but not for long term and in harsh environments.

There are 3M pressure sensitive tapes available for any kind of application. Some of them hold many parts of airplanes together, other hold parts to automobiles. I am not an application engineer, and know only about the base technology of those adhesives.

@dragoneggs - can you share make and model of mirrors? I'd like to do a similar project.

Great tip. I use it inside my fiberglass camper to avoid drilling holes. It is amazing what it will hold once set.

I have had a few people ask me about the mirrors I added especially when I took my tractor in to the dealer for a little warranty work. So I thought I should resurrect this thread on their behalf and also report on how the mirrors are working out after almost a year. First no problems with the install. They have been accidentally knocked around many times by me and by glancing brush during the clearing and burning of a bunch of debris and they are holding up fine.

My only complaint is that they move a little too easily when bumped and I suppose I should look underneath at the ball pivots and see if they can be tightened. They sure do reduce the number of times I have to twist around to make sure my implement (blade, rake or even backhoe) isn't going to take out my greenhouse, a deck support post or whatever! Also nice when grading my long gravel driveway, keeping it on a good line along the ditch edge.

Thanks for the update, dragoneggs. I have the mirrors, but haven't installed them yet.

Dragoneggs; nice video and install, glad you revived this thread, I must have missed it the first time. Were you able to tighten them up a little? I am in tight spots & heavy brush all the time and I wouldn't want them moving too much from hits with small branches.
Also is that click-bond stuff holding good and do they sell it at Lowes or HD?
