The only problem I see is not enough power.
I like the flames on the drift cutters.

That frozen water injection must help horsepower at high rpm's.

A bit of a waste of hp for such a small width of blower. Waste of fuel also powering a 4 foot blower with 400 HP? engine.

So true plus it's a total waste of time in my opinion. It's slow too but he sure got bragging rights

It wasn't as impressive as I thought it would have been... perhaps his idle was too low, but it sure seemed to slow it down.

I'd be interested in building such a contraption... just not as flashy. 5.9 cummins? :)

His first mistake was not using Clarences Impeller Kit for the impeller.

If he used a BCS single stage snow caster he would have doubled
his throwing distance.

Perhaps Jason from Earth Tools can loan him one for a demonstrator HINT HINT.

cqaigy2- hot far are you from Stevens Pass or Skykomish? How much snow do you have in the Cascades.

Well you would know. I've never seen anyone know as much about blowing snow as you do. I think I've read most everything on here that you've posted on the subject and learned a lot from it so thanks for posting

I saw you were getting out of snow removal . I don't think you will regret that decision . I enjoy your vids and work .

Haven't regretted it yet but do get calls to do it. I'm kinda liking the little extra time away from it plus I'm not on standby all winter now, no early rises either.
Thanks for your kind words. Much appreciated. :cool2:

I would of though it would move faster though the snow. It needs more power.

We are actually low for this time of year. It looked like things were looking up with early and good amount of snow, but it tapered off so now we're about 30ish % below snow pack. Could be a dry year coming up. Im a little south of Stevens and Skykomish. Sounds like you've been in the area before.

This V8 need a governor to be use as a snow blower engine. The operator have to accelerate himself, just by listening.

Nice job. I envy people that can finish a project.

Should have had a CAT though!

Poor neighbors, although he probably does their snow too.

I feel sorry for the guy's neigbor. Lol. I can appreciate why they put up a 12 foot privacy fence. Also, is that V8 mounted on a Cat D6 undercarriage?
