New RTV for 2014?

/ New RTV for 2014? #41
Any word of a date when these will be showing up in dealers? I live in Tn and looking to purchase one, if I have to travel a bit that's fine too. They've still not up-dated the build option either on the Kubota web-site.
One showed up at my dealer's this week. I'll take a closer look at it later when I stop by to pickup tires.

I got one of the last 2013 RTV 1100's here in central Texas. Wanted orange, got camo, only color available. I was worried about tier iv, so I moved on the last tier 3, not knowing a whole redesign was coming. After looking at the new design, I didn't want to be negative, but I don't like look of new ones. The only thing I might have liked was independent rear suspension. I'm sure after looking at the 900 pictures I made a great move. I think Kubota may have lost their compass here, slanting new machine towards the pack of recreational types rather than staying work, commercial, agricultural. If I wanted to go hunting or fishing with it I would have bought a Polaris. Not that my 1100 can't go do those things too, but anyone who thinks those other machines can hang with the RTV in the work AG envelop is not being honest or just has not got their hands on an RTV.

HS

I do not believe the RTV series is affected by the Tier 4 emission standards as they are less than 25 hp.

Finally got to put my hands on one but no drive yet! Bed seems shorter but wider, def load a pallet in! Storage a plus
Front and rear 2"? Receivers nice:)
Big plus for adjustable seat and steering, without this momma lookin elsewhere so thankfully kubota back on top.
Sippin on diesel always a winner
New styling ok but no head turner
Air intake, lap/shoulder harness, solid backrest raised 12" above bed height all pluses
Can't wait to drive one and see if all the performance hype is actual. Should be here in a week or two.
And yes we are buying!

Well I just got back from driving the new 900 in camo with ATV tires. The dog and I put a whole hour on the meter. I have mixed feelings. Keep in mind these are just my opinions.

The good...
The ride quality is better, the LCD display is nice, the key location is better, the air filter and radiator being up front is 100 times better than being underneath, the seat is nicer, now comes with glove box and that's it.

The bad...
The transmission hangs out past he rear wheels, the shifter would stick in gear (taping the brake pedal didn't solve it), shift pattern is not as smooth, location of park brake and 4x4 lever, shorter bed, taller roof height (old ones will fit inside a cattle trailer, if the floor is relatively clean), still no retainer for fuel cap, fell on its face in high range on a slight incline, the dump cylinder is off set to one side like 6", looks like a Mechron and they declined my offer to take it home through the weekend to "stress test" it.

To be honest the new transmission and suspension make it feel identical to driving the new Polaris Brutus.

Soooooo glad I got a 2013. That rear end looks like a disaster waiting to happen. They missed the mark. Sales will tell but the AG machine is gone either way. HS

Not sure about that. Got a call from Kubota Insurance this week after paying off my 1100. The premium was $300 per year...I asked why so much, they said the value of the older RTV's went up with the intro of the new ones due to the emissions add-ons and additional expense. Can't verify, just what I was told.

Dang I just paid off my 900 and the insurance was about $180/year, $300 is too dang much!

Ergo my surprise..I have full coverage on my BX23 which cost pretty much the same new and it's something like $150 per year for 13.5k coverage. Might be something to what I was told.

Dealer called this afternoon... His first 1120 has arrived and it sounds like they put it together as soon as it came off the truck. He asked me to come drive it. But it was raining, I was cozy and dry at the local country store and couldn't be bothered.

Maybe tomorrow...

I finally got around to seeing and driving the new 1120 and was impressed with the ride quality but still not sold on the 2 gear ranges or the guts sticking out past the rear tires. Huge mistake IMHO.

I realize some of these photos are bad but I was trying to exclude faces in some of them and was just in a hurry.

Looks like the 1100 dinosaur got some much needed updates. The suspension and limited slip front end sounds great. These rtv's suffered from lack of offroad capabilities.

All true, but at an epic premium to an already expensive machine...Do a build my Kubota and see..True that's MSRP, but I doubt there's much savings to be had below that.

ok, I built identical 1100's. the options for both were the front back light and spray bed liner.
rtv1100 -msrp $20,885..
rtvx1100 msrp $21385.

exactly $500 difference. with the suspension and front end updates alone I would pay double that. not to mention its 100lb lighter and almost 3" axle width increase. could care less about tranny update. when these thing hit the market and get out there it will kill our resale prices. to finally have an rtv that can drive off road is awesome.
