I was moving snow for the first time with my LA524 loader, I was not able to get the bucket to go into float position. Our older Kubota was down and lock for float.
Am I missing something??

the 2620 is down to the indent for float. My FEL control valve had to be replaced at about 50 hrs as it was defective and couldn't get into float. Dealer said they have had problems with valves. Hopefully your just has dirt in it.

I will have to try up to see if there is a detent. There should not be any dirt in the valves, only 2.5Hrs 0n the tractor.
I need to get it out of the garage and try all positions to see if I can find it.
Thanks

I had problem with float detent on my loader when I first got it. Dealer came out and replaced some part (I wasn't home). I'm guessing it was a rust or corrosion issue- the tractor sat out on dealer's lot for about a year before I bought it. Some of these loader valves require a hole drilled to drain moisture that collects and causes rust, if you search old threads you'll find pictures and description.

Don't know if this will help. On my B3030, they recommend that you turn your front wheels back and forth with the engine running for some kind of hydraulic glitch. Maybe you should try this.

Put bucket on the ground and quickly(almost violently) push forward till you hit detent.

It was shocking how hard and fast I had to push the first time to get my front blower to float position.

I don't have to do mine that hard. Just a firm push.

Thanks for all the help I will try all of the above, one of them should work. Some of these glitch solutions, push violently, turn the wheels back and forth, make it look like some of Kubota's engineers have been and are asleep at the wheel.
Tough to get a recall on a tractor!!
