After removing the cover and collapsing the pto my manual said it will lift out after removing the pins along the side. but it only rocks side to side. any ideas?

Do I need to break the tractor in half? There's not enough play in the pto to pull the pump. I hope my service manual didn't forget that little bit of info.

Does the tractor have multi-power. If it does my manual states the tractor need to be split. There should be another pump fastened to the main pump if it does.

Not multi-power, but did get it out. Three bolts hold a retainer at the rear of tractor, undoing those allows you to pull the pto out to extract the pump.

That's good news. I won't be so lucky if I have to do mine. I have multi-power. That makes it a bigger job.
