Jd 110 tlb brake light switch??

Hey all....

New guy here....anyone know where the brake light actuator switch is on my jd 110tlb.....stopped by the dealer, even they couldn't figure it out??? I took out the relay to shut off the brakes from staying on .....any help appreciated....

Hey thanks for quick response....the dealer brought up that same pic, but had no idea where I should look...my search takes me to the fact it has to be behind the fuel tank....and in that case..I'll just do with out brake lights..I was hoping to switch was actually assessble..oh well..

third item in the service manual for that repair is "remove fuel tank" !!

Greetings Mr. Trauner. What year is your 110, or what style of brake light switch does yours have? If it is the earlier style with the small metal tang/lever instead of the newer plunger style you might be able to modify (bend) the metal tang so that it senses when you push the brake pedal. I have seen one where the tang relaxed, and would only activate the lights if you stood with all of your might on the individual brake pedal that the sensor 'sees'. Bending the tang allowed it to see the brake depressed with only normal, non-super human effort. I would suggest doing this a little at time, as too much would leave the lights on all the time, or break the switch.

I do not know the year when they changed from 'tang' style 3a (in the parts diagram) to the 'plunger' style 3b you would have to look and see. but let us know... I know by 2005 several updates were made, but one should always confirm on the machine, rather than blindly trust what a computer says 'should' fit.
