As for the EZ shift, there are very few numbers that use one. I have not heard any rave reviews about it, and my dealer won't even stock them because he is not a fan of the system.
Having owned a shuttle shift before, I really don't see much benefit to adding the EZ setup.
I have had a 4041ez for two years now - I have had very few problems with it but at around 200 hours (have about 280 now) I had some minor issues (a electronic module that needed to be replaced) with the ez shift. These were well taken care of by LS and the dealer (all under warranty).
