They are spaced according to my dimensions :). Distance between handles is 27 inches (not much). Height also fits me perfectly. I've spent alot of time measuring and testing the distances to get the most comfortable positions. Arm rests are an option, but first I'll try to work without them.
The whole project took a loooot of thought...but untill now all seems to fit just fine. :)

proper preparation makes for half the job !
Especially when you outsource cutting and bending/rolling, its so much faster than grinding and hammering :)

Has anyone else wondered what kind of quality products and projects could be done if fellows like 3RRL,4Shorts, and BFreaky teamed up? ? ? WOW, I can just imagine that some design and construction quality standards would get really high. We have the privilege of watching the efforts of quite a few very talented and skillful "Build-it-yourself" icons on this site and it is a real pleasure to watch their efforts.:cool2: Please continue sharing your work with us.:cool2::D

I agree, but in this kind of project (prototype) thinking/drawing/preparation takes the same amount of time as the whole assembly. I'm sure I could build the next one 3 times faster

That's true, once you've done it it's over, there it is, and she's just gonna have to deal with it :) . You should expect some yelling and shouting once she hears about the costs...but...that's life ;)

Well, don't know...perhaps I'll just build a container ship in my garage so my cousin can do the transport. It will be cheaper that way :D

You guys just need to find the right woman. My only concern with my lady is arguing over who's turn it is on the equipment or hiding the keys on me.

Yes; I've finished the swing cylinders, mounted them in place and tested the swing motion. It works great. Btw, as far as I'm concerned, this is the most complicated part of the machine and it took a loot of thought and drawing.
Hydraulic thumb is also finished...
