Good mornong all, 67 here with a hi today of 86. Very foggy on the drive into work this morning.

67 this morning cloudy sun later high of 86. Progressively warmer thru holiday weekend but cooler next week. Supposed to be cold and wet for winter very cold in fact. Maybe will kill off the bugs. Gout is back and don't know why barely moving this morning, in ankle joint

If you can handle prednisone, a course of it will knock it out quick! 20-40 mg the first day then a step down amount for a few days, it'll change the game for you but not to be abused. Beef, seafood, dried beans turkey, though high in purines it seems to cause less trouble than the others high in purines. Alcohol is one of the worst offenders.

Diabetes is also an aggravating condition for gout as well as darn near everything else, I can attest to that. This time of year the biggest offender is dehydration, we just don't drink enough non caffeinated, non alcoholic fluids.

70's and humid, typical summer for a few days. We're heading to the place in Southern Shores, others have been enjoying our house all summer, our turn now! Got the news a couple of days ago that our hot tub died and can't be fixed for 2 weeks due to parts on back order! Arugh! Oh well, the pool is there and the weather is supposed to be mid 70's to 80 all week and I won't be in the same old rut.

Buppies; I'll have to dig it out of a stack of recipes somewhere, but I have a good recipe for a cake that diabetics can have. The recipe was given to my grandmother, when she was craving sweets, yet she too was diabetic. It is a pretty good recipe, and some never knew it was diabetic "safe". I'll look for it, if you miss such as that.

I am fortunate. I have never had much of a "sweet tooth". Last testing I had done, doc said if I am going to become diabetic, it won't be in the next 10 years! Good to know, as I think everyone on my mom's side of the family, including my mom were/are diabetic. Of course, I could just be lucky and have my dad's genes! I took after him in most respects, so maybe that way too.

Let me know, and I'll see if I can find the recipe. In the meantime, I hope the gout gets better, and quickly!

No weather updates here. Y'all could write our script.

Please do find the recipes as I too am a Diabetic with the dreaded sweet tooth.

We had a real nice shower last night, got over half an inch in about 35 minutes and the surface was just starting to dry enough to need it.

Got in late last night from ST Louis.

Went to bed after midnight. Woke up at 0450 and 0520. Went back to sleep got up at 0610 and now I'm behind schedule!

I did manage to work out... Gotta run!

No idea what the weather is, but it will be cooler than STL was...

I believe I'll get my road paved today. They put down tar two days ago. I talked to the supervisor and I think he mentioned that they would start paving today and probably make it past my house. :thumbsup:
