Both tilt, but the T9 is a deck over.

I am not sure I want the added height of being over the wheels. Height, angle, etc.

I have a 24' low boy now I haul stuff with. I am looking at one for my Kubota SVL75 with attachments.

T6 - 24' long. 16' tilt bed and 8' fixed would be the right fit. I could load implements on the front from the side and have plenty of room for the machine.

They come with 7K axles. Debating having them put 8Ks under.

Comments?

I wish I had gone with the 24' tilt flat deck. Always preferred the flat decks for the wide loads and ease of unloading from the side with a fork lift. I have the PJ 24' flat deck with a 3' dove tail and tilt up ramps. I have the 7K axles with the LT245 tires and they have held up fine. Great, well built trailer but, the tilt version would have been better for hauling smaller tractors and skid steers. Hind site is 20/20. But, I use my trailer for mostly hauling construction materials so its not a big deal not having the tilt. I would go with the flat deck tilt version if I did it again though.

Your at the max with 7k's, a 9K tractor plus ONE attachment would be very close to GVWR. An extra 2K with the 8K axles can't hurt anything if you can get them. I know my flat deck with 10K on it is about maxed out with the 7K axles, not much suspension flex left at all when loaded at the center point between the truck and trailer axles. It also depends on how much weight you can get on the truck too. Will the attachments push the tractor to the rear etc... where will the load be centered and such.

I am thinking split deck. Otherwise how do I get all the implements on there and actually use the tilt? I guess I could push the deck down with the bucket and drive on.

8K axles are probably a no brainer.

For me its a low boy. Had a deck over and was not a fan.

What did you not like about the deck over?

My situation is the exact opposite from Diamond Pilot. I have a PJ 20 deckover GN with slide in ramps. The load angle has never been a problem, but because I am rural and enter undeveloped sites (pastures, etc), the trailer angle of departure is critical. The deck over works well for that issue.

No more deckovers for me, do not like the added height for loading, binding and getting on and off the trailers. As far as the 8K axles, I just ordered a Loadtrail [sister company to PJ] and the 8k's were big$$$ and a long wait so I stuck with the 7's. My dump has 7's and hauled some big loads of gravel in the last few days with no issues. [way overloaded] just be sure you are getting Dexters or Alko's. Mt dump is Alko and they are tough. CJ

I am just trying to be 100% legal on it. 7ks should handle it fine. I think on most trailers the tires are the weak link.

Looks like $1500 upgrade to 8k with g rated tires.

Well worth the upgrade to 8k axles and g rated tires which is what I have under mine. I will vote for deck over gooseneck.

I am getting pricing on the 8Ks. Regardless I am going to want them.

I don't see them offering 17.5" tires on the T6, only the T9.

I am waiting for pricing options.

Thanks for the info.

That's roughly what I was quoted also, so I opted for the 7's. After doing some looking just like you said the tires are the weak link. If I need to I will upgrade the tires and rims later when, if I have problems. CJ
