I'm no vet but in my opinion, my wife change the type of treats she was giving the dog to a healthier treat for older dogs and I think that was what was causing the dog to drink more. She seems to be fine and the drinking has slowed down. I guess sometimes what is supposed to be healthier for the dogs can somtimes cause other problems.

Excessive drinking can also be a symptom of a diabetic problem. My guess is that may be what was in the works seeing that a diet change has helped. Good call on the wife's part!

Drew Looks like you had a great trip, I was passing through PA last weekend after driving on 84 and 81 I know I would not have the patience to drive an RV or I would have dings on all 4 corners.

The dog was check for Diabetes as that what my wife thought the dog had. Test was clear and that's when the vet said it could be kidney failure. The problem started after my wife changed the dog's diet.

Good afternoon. 1645. Light rain, 79 with 85% humidity. 40% chance of rain. I've been on the run all day and just getting online. I got in from work at 0130 and was able to sleep in to 0900. So often it doesn't work out that way. I picked up the car from the bodyshop, and my coworker drove my truck back out to the farm for me. Toby at TNT did a great job on the car. You can't tell it ever got rear-ended.

The Chipola River is at 25.14'. It crested at 25.17' about the time I took these pictures. I haven't been down to my camps, but I know from past floods that it is under both trailers, and the roads going in are underwater. So far we have only had one small shower today. Hope the rain stays away.

I really appreaciate the support guys. Bubba has cancer, some sort of sarcoma. He got his 1st chemo today, doesn't seem too happy right now. Might have to give him more painkiller. I really wish the little guy could talk. He goes back in next week for another exam. They say it can be reduced, but not eliminated. This is the 2nd boxer we've had that got cancer. Thanx again.

Ouch. I've heard that in dogs, everything progresses faster than in people. Cancer develops more quickly, and chemo takes effect more quickly. I don't know if that is correct info. Hoping Bubba has good progress by next week.

Reduction is good, 300! Buys time, and quality, so worth doing in many cases. Thoughts and prayers will continue from here. Please keep us posted.
