Jim,
How's a couple feet higher than a 6 foot rule measure up?
I doubt if that's FG-19. I hear she doesn't like tan lines.:)

What good do they serve? :)

Be careful using the copper, pacerron. It can be toxic, even in low doses to scaleless fish, such as catfish.

Was it ever decided whether Lou, his neighbor, or Jim had the biggest tomato this year?

There are so many posts to this thread, so quickly, that when I get a notice of a new post it is often 2-3 pages beyond where I looked last so I miss a lot of them. When they don't make sense or have any continuity I sometimes go back to find where I stopped reading before, and come forward, but I have never seen anything about the biggest tomato. :tomato::tomato::tomato::tomato:

I don't think the "official", biggest tomato was posted. Of course, jinman is bragging that he is getting more tomatoes, so the season may not be over yet for some.

My largest was 14 oz, so I know that I wasn't in the running, since Lou and jinman both had posted some that had me beat.

Ron, clear shallow water and sunshine is the key to that 'stuff' you have growing. Have you ever noticed that it rises up from just below the water to the top of the water during the daytime? I notice that on our lake all the time. In the morning, the water surface is clear, but by afternoon, the moss is up to the surface soaking in all the sunlight it can get.

Well, my entries into the Weed Wars is posted below. The last picture is my asparagus. Isn't it a weed during the summer when you aren't harvesting spears?:D

BTW: I bet I can count the number of girls who have used weed rakes and look like that on one finger. Is that Farmgirl19 with tinted hair?

Jim,
I have used a home made rake at my ex in laws lake house...........for about 5 minutes. My ex BIL usually handled it. It was used in about 2 feet of water where the kids swam. Years later, we could quit the raking as the kids moved to jumping off the end of the pier into deep, clear water.

Ron,
Some pond dye could help. You can buy it in black or blue. Black is neat looking with lights in and around the pond. Have you tried Jim's cornmeal preventative yet. I swear by it now.
hugs, Brandi

Only after she rationalizes that its either her or the girl in the pink ****** (GIPB) who has to do it. :)

Especially if the rake girl does windows.:cool2::dance1::laughing:
hugs, Brandi
