Actually I don't want to think about it... two reasons $$$ and a sore back! But the sad truth is there are many more needed to finish it the way I would like it.

Maybe one more... I am trying not to go too high and create shade in the morning on the garden. But, one more will help ease the slope for the area just above it.

Latest challenge is trying to dig out this big fir tree stump that was rotten right at ground level but is solid still underground. It is on a steep slope and difficult to access with the BH without potentially killing myself or worse yet crashing down on my latest wall :laughing:

Okay did indeed add one more course to the upper wall. Didn't want to do it but it will make the area above not quite as steep. Oh and now that I got the tractor above Wall #2... it looks like I need another wall! :licking: Stay tuned!

With the bucket and 'hoe, can you dig out a little "tabletop", a flat spot to set the wheels and stabiizers to dig the stump out? That's what I would do.....or rent a small dozer for a day/weekend and plateau the whole yard out....

Nice job on the walls, around here we have keystone blocks, they use fiberglass pegs to lock them to the lower row.
They are around $7.50 ea . What do yours cost?
