TBN All-Stars

4shorts has an amazing talent doing mods that look factory, or better, and always has shared, and also answered questions. His Kubota thread dealing with BX mods, has been awesome.

KennyD is willing to share advice on anything that he has knowledge of, (and that's a lot!), and never hesitates to help, whenever he can.

I'm sure the others could have the same said, I just have firsthand knowledge of these 2, since I am a relative newby!

Thank you. The others i mentioned above also have a ton of knowledge and life experience around equipment, and farming.

Every person on this forums brings something to the table, and all deserve recognition.

I couldn't agree more! That's why I hope everyone sees this thread as an attempt to provide that recognition, one person at a time, rather than an attempt to elevate some members over others. I bet that, over time, we've all been an "All Star" to somebody.

Whatever happened to cigar face? Now there was a guy that not only knew tractors, but a deep insight to life.

Right, everybody brings something to the table on TBN. I mostly just bring elbows.
Piston was one of the first to welcome me as a new member in addition his series on adding remotes to his Kubota was very detailed, informative and humorous.

I'm going to do my best to say this nicely, but I believe cigar face either left or was asked to leave. He may have had knowledge, but he was so unpleasant so consistently, that I believe he got the hook. It's one thing to have insight, it's another to be pleasant about it, and I think you will find that most people that will get "honored" here are pleasant, not obnoxious. They try to help others, not find fault with them.

As Josh requested, we will be positive here, but you asked the question ,and it has some bearing on why we appreciate folk here so much.
Just my opinion and I welcome all opinions and input.

I would also like to nominate FarmGirl for being consistently helpful and knowledgeable about
vegetable eating beagles. I believe that is a truly unique talent and worthy of a spot on any marquee...:D
Besides, this young lady just makes it a little more fun here, and lots of us old farts enjoy the attention. Ahem.

daugen; I thank you for the kind words! I am, glad that you think I add some fun to the forum. I like giving attention to the charmers! :D

I'm not sure I deserve to share the marquee with some of those being listed here, but I do thank you.

I need to add soundguy, 4shorts, and Farmwithjunk, MFRED, jeepcj( ?),KennyD, RickB, and more as i remember their names .
I'd love to hear more about what specifically makes them so great, if you can think of anything.
Soundguy: Has a good handle on all things related to vintage Ford/NH tractors and some other machines
Farmwithjunk: Has a good handle on all things related to vintage MF tractors, commercial mowing and some other machines

That's fair if you also start a post people about TBN members that you don't like. In for a penny. In for a pound.
Already been done (to a certain extent), see: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/front-porch/284384-lets-see-ignore-count-posts.html

I suspect that was the case.

Not sure why Aaron Z, but I cannot access the link. Says I dont have permission???:confused3:

As to this thread, I second about all of those mentioned. And I dont think there is any risk of stepping on toes if someone gets left out. I think most people here, that are very helpful, certainly arent in it for the recognition. People share and help out with what they are passionate about. And having a passion for something (Like soundguy and fords, or JJ an hydraulics) makes them very knowledgeable. I am just glad I have a place to come here and talk about things I enjoy. Help out when I can. And ask for help if I am in need.

I have a lot of respect for mtnviewranch and sweettractors because they are both vendors and offer a lot of helpful information all of the time... whereas most vendors only post when they see a sales opportunity.

I specifically remember a time when someone broke a top-link and didn't want to mention where it came from and mtnviewranch chimed in admitting it was his and resolved the situation as well as giving a lot of helpful informaion.

I see now.
I guess I didnt realize they did that with the front porch too. I thought it was still open to all :mur:
I guess I havent missed it
It is still open to all (AFAIK), its just opt-in so that you have to choose to view it (due to people complaining that they didn't want to see those posts). Much faster than the old way (at least for the "Friendly Politics" forum) where you had to PM Muhammad and wait till he had time to add you.

I agree. Both frequently post and help others even when there is no chance of them making a sale.

When it comes to Newholland tractors, Jinman is always there to help out.
Thanks Jim

Crash tells some good stories about the old days. I enjoy hearing those. And Creekbend is fast to welcome all the new members. It is good to hear a kind word when you first get aboard. But everyone over on the Good Morning thread has been quick to answer any questions I had.

Too many to mention, but there is difinitely more that help then hurt. Most people have an area of expertise and I have learned tricks of the trade from most of them. So I say cheers to everyone that posts knowledgeable threads and keep them coming.
