Hello and thanks in advance for any advice. There is a Kubota B2150 HSD 4x4 Tractor with (they say) a BF350-A Front End Loader
It's coming up at a 7/14/13 auction. It has 3713 hours, but is said to work fine. I imagine it will sell between $500 and $3500-auction who knows? I believe these tractors are obsolete and I am concerned about problems and parts, as it has so many hours. I have a 10 acre recreation/deer hunting property and need to mow 3 acres once or twice a year. I plan to push over a few 4" to 6" post oaks to make 6' paths thru the woods.
Any comments good or bad. Pictures of the tractor posted in reply below.
Thanks

Obsolete? Really?

I have a B1750HSD (next smaller model) bought new in 1993. This has probably been the most satisfying major purchase that I have made in my entire life. The tractor has needed absolutely nothing in the 20+ years that I've owned it aside from fuel, lubricants, filters and the occassional coolant replacement. Not so much as a fuse, lamp or fan belt. Yes, it has had exceptional maintenance and has not been abused, and yes, it has far fewer hours than the 2150 in the links.

Last year, I considered replacing it with a BX or similar MF model and shopped both closely. Eventually, I decided to keep my B1750 as I prefer it over the currently available CUTS for several reasons.

Regarding parts: Three years ago the remnants of hurricane Ike collapsed my barn on top of all of my equipment including the B1750. I bought a new hood, decals, air filter support, fuel cap, numerous trim pieces, seals, etc. All parts were readily available at my Kubota dealer.
