I just recently built a dump trailer from an old tandem dump trailer, problem is the big multi section telescopic cylinder holds lots of oil, more than my john deere 6120 has or close to it. Trying to think of a way to build a hydraulic driven pump to use with a reservoir to lift it. Was thinking of bolting 2 pumps together using one as a moter and other as a pump. Anyone ever do this ? Or other ideas. Was going to try pto pump but would need a valve to release pressure etc

Thanks luc

I would suggest using a hydraulic motor to drive the hydrualic pump Vs using a pump as a motor. Yes it is has been done and will work. Any reason why you could not use the PTO to drive a pump?

I could but trying to figure out how configure a valve to raise it and be able to hold in up position and then be able to lower it

9.9 GPM @ 2250 psi

Raise time about 1 min.

The pump OUT put/pressure side goes to the valve IN port.

Pump suction comes from tank.

Valve OUT port goes to tank through filter.

Either use a single action valve or a DA valve and plug the A work portt.

Single action valve

Double action vales.

B port goes to cyl.
