300.00 Tractor is it worth it?

Run up on a LT1500 Kubota. Owner says it runs but needs a battery and has set for 2 years. $300.00 for tractor and tiller, yes three hundred dollars. I know nothing about these little tractors can yall help?

are they your pictures or pictures off of craigslist? if they are craigslist pictures then its probably a scam. if not, then that tractor has more problems then just a dead battery

There mine I laid eyes on it. I beleive he has money issues, as he priced everything in his yard except his personal vehicle.

oh ok. cool. I would suggest you see if you can get it started with some jumper cables. if so, pay the man and take the machine. don't take my word for it and let others chime in but I paid 600 for an old used john deere lawn tractor 4 months ago. I would rather have paid 300 for this gem

It may have some value as scrap metal, that's about it. Even if you knew about tractor repair you would probably spend thousands for parts (assuming you could find them) to make it operational. Owner may give it to you in exchange for hauling it away. No way I'd would pay anything for it.

it's 300 dollars. if the engine was locked up it would be worth that.

Not suggesting it but the scrape value is likely more then $300. Pretty safe purchase.

My dad is a diesel mechanic and I have basic skills if it is able to run we can make it happen. Just not sertain of the avalibility of parts and I was worried about any problems they may usually have that only a person seasoned in the older Kubotas would know.

sounds like you are jealous. the attachment alone is worth 300 bucks. The guy has access to it to see if it runs.maybe that or just don't know the value of anything at all

For what it's worth, if I read the tag correctly, it's an L1500 rather than an LT1500, and I think that's a gray market tractor.
