New LS Cab Tractors

Nice cab. Change a few vinyl colors and it could come out of a JD or a Kubota.

Now I know this is seriously silly, but I think that blue color is very attractive. A little bright but you'll always know where your tractor is...

I just went shopping with my wife for a new car for her. What an ordeal. Honey, look at the nice diesel Passat, 40+mpg and surprisingly good acceleration.
No? Ok. A nice new Lexus hybrid, 40mpg, comfort plus super mileage. No? Ok. Groan. There go my two best shots.
So since her Dad was a GM exec and we get a good discount on GM products, back to the Cadillac showroom. Right in the middle is a new XTS, the new larger sedan
with the same engine as our CTS. She took one look at it, loved the snazzy red paint, and said I want that one. Groan. 18mpg if I'm lucky. But it actually cost less than our CTS
and by the time we were done, six grand had disappeared. I would never buy a big GM car, they simply depreciate too much, too much ownership cost. But their lease was very reasonable.
The point of all this is color is a very interesting motivator to us all. Though all of us are smart enough that when we buy, color is way down on the criteria.

Is that shiny blue paint the same as New Holland? Ford Blue seems a little quieter.
Sorry to go astray here, just think your tractors are very handsome.

wow, a triple post, that's new...MilestoneTim, you can get rid of the duplicates by editing and then clicking on several delete buttons.
It's not you, seems to be a lot of double posting going on, but you've scored the hat trick.

Here are some photos of the new XR4046C (gear drive) that was at the Louisville Farm Show. This is what we've been waiting for!

Mostly better specs, but I think LS needs to rethink their FEL as far as clearance with the bucket in full dump....it's way below the competition, and the only thing I've almost had issues with. I could barely fill a 30cu yd rolloff dumpster with my R4047H because of low clearance in dump position, and the loader arms were nearly hitting the top of the sides all the time while I was filling the dumpster.

Wow! Thanks for the pictures Milestone Tim! That is an awesome layout. I'm really likening the thought LS put into the new style. I was pretty bummed that I knew nothing of ls when I was shopping. I got a call to weld on fertilizer buggy out of town and passed dealer's lot getting to the field. I finished a 10pm and went right to the lot to check out those bright blue tractors. They are very impressive. I use small tractors on my farm because I'm weird or I might be brilliant. I really like those bright blue tractors- they match my welder:)

My Kioti dealer picked up LS a couple years ago when Landini switched from LS to Daedong (they didn't see the point of having two identical tractors in different colors). He's since told me that his preference is starting to lean towards LS over Kioti, and they do VERY well selling Kioti. I LOVE the layout of the cab in those pics. Very nice, I can see my dealers point.

Just left the NC factory today and saw the new models w/ t4 engines not impressed w/ the shibarus way to much on the electronics side for my taste.

Did they tell you it was a Shibaura engine or did you see a tag or literature that stated that? From what I have been told they were still running the Mitsubishi engine and dropping a HP from the rating because of the AC compressor.

Gawd! The new front-end design is butt-ugly!

Oh I don't think the front end is that bad looking, but if they did in fact go to the Shibaura engine then that would be bad.

Really? Why? 2 out of the 3 diesel engines in my barn right now are Shibaura's. One in my old Ford mower, 27hp 3cyl, with thousands of hours; has only needed a head gasket because I ran it too hot... The other in my Hustler mower, a 25hp 3 cyl; granted it only has 180 hrs, but seems like a great engine so far.

What is the problem with Shibaura? Is our Mitsubishi that much better?

No not really just my personal preference is all.

I bought a new tractor last summer. I looked at the Kubota Grand L series and the John Deere 3x20 series. I also looked at LS. I must say the price on the LS and included features make it a very attractive tractor compared to most others. I ended up buying the John Deere 3320. The downfalls I saw with LS were they didn't finance their tractors. John Deere and Kubota had 0% financing for 60 months. By the time I considered interest on the loan and the ease of getting a loan it put LS out of the picture immediately. Another reason was my nearest LS dealer was 3 1/2 hours away. If I needed to use that generous 5 year warranty that's just to far to drive. I wish LS would offer promotions to make buying them easier as well as getting more dealers.

I must say I love the Blue color, the price, and features. Adding the cabbed models is also a nice touch. The front ends on the new cabbed models I think is a bit ugly. Maybe after a while it's something that will grow on you.

I know quite a few LS dealers offer financing through Agri Credit....mine did, and they went to 84 months (not 0% for that long, but still a good rate) as I recall.

There's no such thing as free money. The 0% for 60 months costs you a lot of money up front. You should have looked at Kioti, very comparable to LS, "0%" financing available and they've always had factory cab models in the line up. I don't think anybody does as nice of a job on their cabs as JD though (but mine is pretty nice).

don't blame you for going with the deere. the main reason i bought an LS made tractor was the fact i could drive the tractor home if i wanted (only a couple miles). Dealer support and location is a big deal to most people. Having a nice tractor with lots of features for the price was a bonus.

How much more expensive were the JD and Kubota tractors? I saw roughly $10K more for JD and Deere when I was comparing. That pays for a lot of interest (which is still at a low rate if you don't get factory financing). R,
