Sticking hydro pedal

   / Sticking hydro pedal #41
The Bobcat service bulletin says (i am paraphrasing) if the customer complains about the hydro pedal coming back too slow, slower than before, or slower than a new tractor on the lot, piss on his leg and tell him it's raining out. Actually it says that DOT has no standards on how fast it has to return to neutral, so it is meeting DOT standards if it takes 2 hours to return to neutral. They have a replacement damper, but want full retail to sell it to you (like $225)

After a certain date the tractors have the upgraded damper.

The ones made after march 2011. I guess the Kioitis had it too?

LOL, I love the end of the .pdf document you posted. "There's no specification of how fast the pedal should return to neutral, it's personal preference. If everything above fails to solve the problem, tell the SOB to use the brakes to stop"

The bulletin pretty much says, we know there's a big problem and if you have that problem, you're SOL.

So, once and for all, is this a warranty covered procedure/replacement or not?

Plain and simple: Yes on warranty coverage Or No? Which is it?

Yes, they will try. If they follow their procedures and it doesn't fix the problem, no, you're SOL. On the Kioti side, my dealer replaced the HST under warranty and the problem was fixed. Bobcat doesn't seem willing to go that far based on the bulletin posted here and I'm not sure if Kioti would still do it, it may be on a case by case and depend on your dealer.

I doubt you'll get your simple yes or no answer.

Yeah and if you have one like mine did it will keep pulling with the brakes.

Another sticky hydro pedal CT235 owner checking in. They have already replaced the return mechanism once (late last year), i've asked them to ensure that it was the updated one, and told them that i didn't appreciate being SOL if that's the case.
