Traction 3016 for logging

Anybody use this tractor for pulling in stems out of the forest? The seat seems a bit uncomfortable with no suspension and I guess with loaded tires (R1's) and fel and some wheel weights I can get to around 4000iLbs for the tractor which should pull in a 3000Ilb stem. Lift seems good at 1640Ilbs to full height at pins. Just wondering how these fare in the woods. Thanks

I had a 2516 HST with FEL I used for that exact thing. Worked great, just had to cut some logs down instead of doing one long pull. Just didn't have quite enough power to pull or load the bigger logs on a trailer so I just sold it through the dealer and I am waiting on a 3535 to get the rear remotes installed. It got around in the woods great. Just hope the bigger 3535 does also.

I use my 2516 gear for wood,no problem pulling more than one full length logs at a time.

I have done my last two years fire wood (about 20 face cords/year) with my 3016 and a farmi 351 winch. Works great. Small enough not to have to make extra large skid trails, yet big enough to get the job done.

My initial concern lies with the fact that the hydraulic lines going to the joystick control seem to be in harms way. Especially the way they exit in front of the rear tire. Looks like they need some fabricated protection. I think I'd also go with the ag tires however they do not hold as much ballast as the R4's. May also need wheel weights.
